I wear a buff when i play (makes you look a little gay) but does take some of the sting away, keeps you warmer in winter and is comfortable, not restrictive in any ways.

Doesn't really help with the pain but they keep the welts to a minimum which helps if you have a job where you have to look presentable.

i used to have one, but i move my neck around alot while playing and coundlt get on with it, iv only be shot there once and it did hurt alot but not too bad tbh, however if you get mugged in the neck like one of are guys did agasit tigars at the nspl, that leaves a nasty mark

I started wearing one but for the amount of times I got shot in the neck it's worth the risk of not wearing it and being comfortable whilst playing.

whilst playing a rec game I stuck my head up and got shot square in the Adam's apple from 20 meters away,thinking to myself 'who the F was that' I proceeded to stick my head up again to have a nose and got shot in the exact same place....needless to say I bought a jt neck guard and got shot in the throat again and it still hurt just as much.

just keep your head down

tbh IMO you are better off getting one of course there is pro's and con's to everything

pro's

1. keeps welting to a minimum

2. stops them horrible balls from slicing your neck(then when it scabs over your tops rubbing it and knocking scabs off this hurts like a b*tch believe me personal experience)

3. does take some pain away ^^^^^(in the long and short run)

4. helps bounce

5. keeps neck warm in winter

con's

1. irritates like hell

2. makes you neck sweat

3. makes you look like abit of a puff

that is all i can think of for the con's but you will know your self of all the others having wore one


so i would say yes were it religiously mate no matter what
