More like he doesn't like the guy who makes them, or the outlandish claims he makes.
I have a TurboRev in my revvy, and with a replacement paddle I'd say it feeds about the same as an X-board. It is nice that it doesn't spin endlessly when you're out of paint, and turns itself off after 15 minutes of inactivity, but on the downside it drains the batteries (slowly) even when turned off.
But if you ever wanted your hopper to play the tune from Close Encounters when you turn it on, get a TurboRev
