Hey that's the nature of the game.
If you want the best team, you have to play best of 3. I imagine that's why x-ball results are so different from regular 7 or 10 man results.

Anyhow, good result for the Dawgs, i'm glad to see them do well.

I completely agree, Red_Merkin. It's kinda cool to think that using the current way you always have to bring your best game, but flukes happen and the win isn't always indicative of the best team. Not that the Naughty Dogs are a bad team, but I think that if they played it out, Dynasty would have won.

No knocks to the Dogs or any of their supporters. They beat us
plain and simple. I don't have any excuses for the team. We are not happy about the out come and will be back to prove any critics wrong. I think it was a wake-up call for us. See everyone in Portugal.

It's like when the bears beat the russian legion a few years back at Mayhem. There's no way that the bears are a better team, but for one game only something happened, luck, a slip of concentration, whatever you call it; the russians went down.

I'd bet good money that if they played three games, the russians would have won two.


Still, what Magued says is right, the dawgs are on fire, and they're a threat to anyone.

Now THAT puts it all in perspective. 1 loss the whole tournament and, BAM, second place. I see this more indicative of the weakness of the 10 man pro bracket...Dynasty and the Dogs rolled the whole event. Basically, they could've showed up, played one game against each other, and left. Then the rest of the Pro bracked fought it out for 3rd on down. I am not trying to bring down the other teams on the pro bracket--they could all destroy me. But it's one of those "any team can win at any time" things, and either Dynasty or the Dogs had to lose that one game. If there were tougher competition, there may have been more of a points race toward the end.
