In which case why would he even enter the Nations Cup if Winning the Millennium was his number one goal? I think he must be giving it some level of importance to be doing both?

As Pete pointed out doing both is risking the first. If I didn't feel there was something to be gained by doing X-ball also I wouldn't put my team through the strain of both at one event.

And who are his sponsors that don't care about X-ball? Aren't they still a Diablo/Draxxus team? They care about X-ball. Don't know about WDP, but that may be different.

I think maybe some participation in the Nations X-ball is teams and people hedging their bets for the future...

The extra strain is what, one or two hours per 3-day event? It ain't much is it, especially for a team of athletes. I think it's quite possibly a bet hedger as you say, in case X-Ball goes off big-style, but I think it's a very poor second to the Mill. Series proper.

I was referring to WDP sponsor-wise, but if I was Richmond, I'd still sooner see my paint winning a Millennium and getting tha attendant props in tha press than winning the Nations Cup.

I ain't got a downer on X-Ball - I think tha format rocks - but in Europe it's sloppy seconds and I think tha Russkies will treat it as such. Sure they'll wanna win, but Mill. will come first and that's what they'll be focussing on in training, whilst Strange is all about tha big X in PSP.
