Not sure who Twizz and Spike selected. But Twizz is around for years, and know most players from top teams. Great choice for a coach.

Oh and wipe your nose you have got something brown on it ! ;) and again not once did i say anything about twizz i think he is a good choice

This annoys me greatly. Not only do you say that thib is sucking up to twizz, which he isnt, he's mearly making a decent observation that twizz is one of the best coaches in the uk, but then you go on to say that he's a good choice, hypocrisy the name is scott peters.
Both twizz and spike are two coaches that any team could benefit from.

No matter who the team is made of, They deserve our support, who cares if the event is unprecedented, if we win this, or make an impression, it can be nothing but good press for the uk.

Who ever the team is made of, you have my full support for the weekend. If you need any pit crew/ coaches/ cheerleaders, let me know. Good luck guys.

In the end people will play, players will tell their family they played in the National Team, pictures will be taken, in forums plays will be discussed, but deep down you all know this means nothing other than you were in the right place, at the right time and you knew the right persons...
There's nothing wrong with being in the right place at the right time - it served me well enough for years :p

Even if all the stars align and you do happen to be in that situation, you still have to handle business. Twizz's team is capable of doing just that, so best of luck to them.

It beats me how you can consider this to be a real Nations Cup or anything closer. This is a really good way to make a bit more money with the fields the Millennium has already in place. If this was to be for really don't you all think that at least some people from diferent countries should be heard? Don't you think that a really Nations cup should have been prepared well in advance?

Is this really doing anything from our sport other them making more money in dificult times?

I think we must wait a bit more before someone really starts doing something for the sport in a way that sport institutions should work. Until them this is the sad image or our sport.
Just out of curiosity, what have you done for the sport?

I think you've read about this Nations Cup, and presumed that now all the players have gone out and got British Bulldog tattoos on our arms and have the National Anthem as our ringtone.

Nobody's saying this is a new beginning that will revolutionise the sport of paintball here in the UK, it's a chance for us to do something fun at what is for most of us a serious event.

I feel maybe a sadder image of our sport is comments like yours above...

Out of interest which country do you feel has been missed off that list? There has to be a cap on the amount of teams due to time constraints ect and I think that the 16 teams chosen are a good representation of the paintball demographic, maybe you feel the Lebanon should have a team or possibly North Korea?

It’s a side event to Campaign cup everyone stop getting about organizational issues and possible conspiracies so you can just enjoy watching some different teams play.

Blooming heck that's a bit negative. Yes, we could have had more notice, yes people will always bicker about who's in or out of the team and who gets to make the choices ( particularly us Brits who like to moan about anything and everything).
Fact of the matter is, there's a field to be used, teams are showing interest and if the Brits can do well potentially get more media interest in the sport. Hats off to the lads who have had to put their hands in their pockets again to sort this ( it would be a sad sight to hold it in this country and we didn't have a team to represent us).
Let's just stop the moaning and get behind OUR TEAM and see if we can win this. We can always look to make improvements if it becomes a regular event and create a proper squad system if required.
C'MON TEAM GB!!!
There's an inherent danger here for the flag-waving brigade in that you can accuse people like Metrahla of being negative but in essence, all he's done is make observations, none of which are false, they are all actually true, all he is guilty of is being somewhat cynical !!!! ... there is however the other side of this event coin in that the people involved will always tend to make more of it than it actually is, thus elevating their own perceived position; this is always gonna happen and in fact, has already begun .... you only have to look at a couple of posts to see evidence of that.

The whole notion of a nation's cup has been resurrected many times and the only serious nation's event there has ever been was Richmond Italia's XBall inauguration event held in Pittsburgh, 2002.
All teams were given enough time to prepare and contained the world's best players and the media across the world had all been prepped well in advance .... this is the sort of nation's cup Metrahla was maybe thinking of when criticising this new re-invention that has just been plopped into people's laps.

The MS went about this in such a slap-dash sort of way that it has effectively compromised a lot of people and it wouldn't have taken that much to have done this somewhere near properly.
They could never have made the event actually mean anything because of the lack of precedent and accreditation but they certainly haven't helped matters in the way they have conducted themselves.
Bottom line is .... by all means everybody should support their own countries but it's probably best we don't lose sight of what this event actually means to paintball as a whole .... but the financial bottom line is? ..... think about that before you go waving any flags or bigging it up.
