I renember reading an article in PGI about changing the names for commonly used paintball words. After reading the post on "why call your gun a marker" it has made me wander if any decent alternatives have been thought?

Eg.

Mugging - Violent crime to steal money
Bunker - World War Barricade

Can any one think of any politically safe names for the above words? Or any other paintball words for that matter!

I have an idea... Instead of 'mugging' or 'bunkering' we could use 'tickling'...

For instance 'did you just see Robbo tickle that guy behind the carwash?'

'Wow that was some tickle move'

and

'that guy just got the **** tickled out of him'....

I think that works, how about you guys?

:D

How about dusting? now, now hear me out...

We use it already it just needs a little adaption...

'I just dusted that guy'.

or

'he just got dusted'

not so sure about

'did you just see that dusting move'

though as I have pictures of feather dusters and pledge in my head and one player running down field to 'tickle' another...

'hey did you just see Robbo do some dusting'... I can picture that one :D

Mugging or Bunkering can flat out be a "Punking!"

Dood did you see Buddha Punk that kid in the coke can? Use the bunker names instead of calling it a bunker. Besides most of us probably use the name of the bunker any how. Or how about "Touch?"

Dood I heard Chip ran up and touched that kid in the coke can!

Naw that sounds a little on the wrong side! :D

We could also go for the military euphemismes...
So we get our point guys to 'reduce' the other team's players by delivering his payload, or delivering his ordnance on target...

It's all just a bunch of BS. An aggressive sport needs aggressive terms! You don't see linebackers tickling running backs in American football do you? Or boxers tickling the other guy's face?
