yes you can. if your too lazy to bother trying before you buy then you deserve whichever gun you get. There is no discernable difference in performance in all the top spec guns out there at the moment... the only difference is in how they feel to shoot.

If you are buying a marker, then it is a relative assumption that you visit paintball sites or tournaments.....i dunno if you've heard but these places are commonly frequented by OTHER PAINTBALLERS, many of which have OTHER MARKERS. Although the commonly swear a lot when off the field, they are usually nice fellows and with a bit of politeness and ass kissing will usually let you have a go with their gun over the chrono. It's usually a good idea to have some of your own paint and not shoot their entire hopper load.

Quoted for truth. I made this mistake, and payed for it. Its worth bearing in mind how differently triggers can feel, for instance the magnetic return on an eblade versus the other options in other guns. Your uncle might be a huge cocker fan, but that doesn't automatically mean he'd love an eblade. Go to a walkon or a tourney and bring him along.

Look at it this way, when was the last time you bought a car (for the 14 year olds here, just imagine) just on a friend's recomendation without having a test drive of your own?

it feels like its running off your pulse or something, you really dont have to walk it that hard at all.

But as said before m8, you could sit here readin this thread for weeks just listening to people arguing over which is the better marker, but its not what they think, down to you, and more importantly your uncle. Some people just prefer certain markers (the feel, the look, sound, the flow of em). So again, as said before, take a couple for a test drive, look at which is more comfotable for your price range, look at which is gonna suit your needs more. You can get a rough idea from here, but its down to u.

Sorry bout the big long n lenghty speech, but hadda be done:D
