MTPC opening w/e with the Shock Clinic 19/10/08

Big thanks to the Shock guys for a well presented clinic and coaching day, Plenty of tips and thoughts to go away and work on

Enjoyed playing with and against everyone there.

Feedback:- To set up a top Tournament venue you need the initial investment, this was evident with brand new high safety netting installed on telegraph poles, brand new 40 piece field to play on and two more fields to come, tented area and good air fill/rig.

You need the machinery to maintain it. I watched the field get cut on the Saturday and then rolled which explained why the field was consistant all weekend, firm enough to run on with astro boots, but soft enough to land on when diving into a bunker.

On a tourney day, that may bring along a whole lot of different issues and organisational skills, which are yet to be tested, but this has the potential to become a top Uk venue and with alll the hard work that has already gone into it I am sure Rich and the Mean Machine guys will make it a success.

That sounds really good.The playing surface is such an important factor and this sounds like it is spot on.
Are there any plans for more clinics in the near future?

there was talk yesterday of shock coming back for a more advanced clinic. im sure Rich will fill in details if and when it develops. obviously though, with the new league being only a few weeks off from its first tournament Richs mind is occupied by that and ensuring all is sorted.

Awsome day, Thanks to Rich Harris and co , you lads did great to make the day worth the trip down. Spuds were godly, beans ..well, i could'nt stop farting on the way home

Yeah , although we have met on field before, its nice to put faces and names together, you lads played well, would have been nice to have a few more of our players down. Was good to see a few friends ive not seen for a while.

we more than likely have but i have the worst memory of anyone i know + everyone looks the same to me with goggles on i cant remember much about the games but i remember some hard fought games, was a great day and i cant wait for mean machine and leicester wildcats to butt heads again laters

yeah thanks for a great day rich, was my first time playing sup air and i was put with a great group of lads (preacherman etc).

thanks to all the shock lads, except for the beasting at the very start

had some good games and have now caught the sup air bug cant wait to play again.

And next time ill try not to get shot in the neck by my own team !!!! haha
