cheers love the kickstart even though i havent started it with it yet due to needing a new sparkplug lol, yes see youve done alot of driving on it you lucky guy, petrols cheap for motorbikes (or is it just pit bikes and mini motos lol) oh and youll be surprised how much i paid for that pit

started off on this little peice of junk which got given to me, crashed it, sold it and brought the pit with the money i got for this lol so i basically got it for free ( pit only cost 110 anyways)View attachment 24920
Ahh no Petrol is cheap for 125cc's - I'm on Two bars left (About 3 Litres out of a 13 Litre tank) and i'm on 210 Miles so far (On this tank)
So Petrol isn't much of a problem, compared to 600cc + Bikes.
You'll soon get a new sparkplug for it and be off mate!

I test rode a couple of Triumphs back when I worked for the bike shop over here.

Also got a ride on one of the first zx10's way back when. 103 mph in first. Could lose your license without ever having two wheels on the ground!

Favourite bike was the original Daytona 600, I've a soft spot for the oddly coloured older GSXR's like the Corona and telefonica ones. 600's are my absolute perfect class, 1000cc's is just too much for road use.

Also loved the triumph Tigers, a much faster bike than people would imagine when you know how to chuck it about ;)

Ahh that sucks matey, but you'll soon get your degree's and be back on a great paying Job with many bikes!!

Ahh I'm not restricted to 33BHP, I'm restricted to 15BHP/125cc until i'm 19 (New Motorcycle Laws brought in January this year - I never had a chance to pass my test before them sadly.)

SV650's are very nice bikes!
Sad to hear about it breaking soon after your restrictors were removed! :(
Ah yeah, I forgot about the new laws, so glad I got my license well before they changed things!

As for the SV, yeah, they are OK bikes but the build quality on them is shocking. Mine was well looked after for its whole life, never ridden in winter, washed at least once a week, properly serviced far more frequently than Suzuki recommend, and despite that it was still looking scruffy as hell by the time it finally gave in, the engine had loads of problems in the two years I had it despite only having about 18,000 miles on it when I bought it.

Also, as I discovered the first time I took it on a track, the brakes and suspension really suck if you push it hard, braking hard from 130 the front dipped so much it nearly threw me over the handlebars!

Ohh, I've only heard good things about them, that's bad though!
You're brave taking it on the track though, I wouldn't!

Still the SV's are better than the ER5/6's though!
They perform so much better, and smoother!

I had an sv 650 about 10 years ago, it was ok as a first "big bike" but i was bored of it within a month! Not that it wasn't quick enough it was just boring. I traded it out for a firebade... now they are seriously good bikes! Power & brilliant in the bends, much easier to chuck about than my Nina
