Ok guys (and gals) what are your takes on this one?

Uk, worldwide, whatever.

My opinion??

Avalanche (99-2002). Why? They were the only team (that I could see) that had awareness of how to market and stylise themselves and their game towards the entire extreme sports image that tournament paintball of today is finally achieving. Love em or hate em they were undoubtedly the leaders, shame it took everyone else so long to follow suit.

That's my take anyhow.

I agree with your take on Avalanche as far as marketing.

I also think Image belongs there for evolving how the game is played.

Currently I'm going to say the Philly Americans. Sounds like they are making the most advancements as far as player pay and trying to move the teams to the next level.

Al, No arugment on the marketing. But (and there always is). What about Aftershock and there domination of the 10 man scene and winning the ulitimate prize, The World Cup. Ony team ever to win 2 years back to back.

Just thought would throw that cat amongst the pigeons!

I'm agreeing with you on that baby, Shock have pioneered the agressive game and proven time after time that you can win serious games with a baddass game style. I still think that Avalanche have done more to open teams eyes with regards to the bigger picture of the whole paintball/extreme sport debate. Without them doing what they did I don't think paintball would be where it is today, maybe be a brave thing to say but that's what I think anyhow.

When we first started off we followed 'Lanche and basically copied everything they did from the way they held their guns, the way they stood, to the whole colour co-ordinated accessories bit that pretty much every team does now. They started all that ****. Shame it all went tits up.

I cannot agure with you! I want too but I just cannot.

What we need is a team like Lanche of old and Shock of old mould it all together and we get the perfect team!
