money question????

i dunno if there is a way to do this, but if so, can some1 help me out.

ok, i havent bought anything off the internet off a person before, so have no idea about this. if i wanna buy a marker off a guy, is there a way that as soon as the marker is delivered and signed for, the money is transferred to the account of the seller. im not saying that i dont trust u all, its just if i were to send over 300quid in cheque, an recieve nothing, its alot of money for me to be losing. is there any way that, without meeting face to face, the deal can be done.

i hope this makes sense. and plz do help me out. thanx in advance.

Ask them if they will do COD or a third party sale.

u know you can cancel cheques for 14 days, so make him giv u a guaranteed date of arrival, if it doesn arrive in 14 days, bounce the cheque

probably will be some1 off here, havent completely decided on which marker im most interested in. anyway, i have no idea what cod or 3rd party trade are

also, bit boned with the cheque situation, as i dont have cheque book, and also, parents dont seem to think its a good idea to spend my money on a marker. think its a waste. grrr.

COD = Cash on delivery. Usually done by UPS.

Third party is where both of you send you stuff to a third party, and when both arrive...the third party then sends both items out...ususally for a small fee.

ah rite. that COD was the thing that made me think of this. those ups ads that u never watch, reminded me. would COD mean extra costs then, im not too bothered about the extra costs, coz it'll be worth it, and shouldnt be too much hopefully
