Glad i read this thread. I just bought a shocker today and was about to buy the molykote from Smartparts...glad i didn't. Where do i need to put the stuff...obviously on the bolt but anywhere else & how often? (I was just used to applying a few drops of oil each time i cleaned my old marker.)

I used Castrol Moly Grease from halfords for 4-5 months with no problems whatsoever.

Cheers everyone Batty ring CPC because we deal with them at work all the time, but they only came up with hi temp moly which is a white paste, I read out EXACTLY what you said but they didn't have it. I'd check you've got the right thing

Stiler cheers I gave them a ring too, £11.70 for 100grams including P & P. Thats still a hell of a lot cheaper for a lot more and it's exactly the right thing!

Hi rob yer the stuuf i have is the right gear but i rang cpc after your last post and guess what they said they have never sold it hmmmmmm strange well never mind new supplier time

Right, go into a dive shop and ask for 'Sub-Lub' its around £3 for a big tube and it is the same stuff as molycoat, specifically made for moving parts, o-rings and regulators.
