Hmm, 2 world cups, 2 world series events, world's best player award (that was 96, but hey, cut me some slack here), world 7 man series champ and best player award, 2nd in Americ'as top gun in Knoxville, numerous NPPL wins, etc etc etc...my wrist is aching thru typing too much

That Top Gun idea was great... would be a touch hard on a modern field though unless you strung 6 fields together

Actually Stan, that particular Top Gun tourney was held in a stadium with 'Sup' Air like bunkers (made out of oil cans and the like I seem to remember ) so it wasn't that divorced from the modern game.

Why did you stop playing?

Pffff....there are a lot of reasons, but it was never a real decision.
I just stopped playing because I got my own company, playing American football took up a lot more time than it used to (stepped up our game, which meant way more training) and some other stuff too. Plus I got bored of dishing out huge stacks of cash for mediocre events. Although in all honesty I must say I never been to an MS event that I didn't enjoy. Although that had nothing to do with the event itself, but it's just so damn enjoyable to do things like discuss serious life issues with Pete, kick **** with the Sharks (both PGI and Evil) and turn into Black Buddha and Black Piper with Andy.
Made some friends as well.

But in all honesty, as much as I enjoyed it, I get the same rewards, only multiplied, from playing American football. Just imagine the feeling you get from playing paintball and add the fact that your real physical safety depends on the actions and support of your mates as you engage in a real battle.

Come to think of it, I "played pro" too...
Team p8ntballer.com was entered as pro back in the days, wasn't it? Plus I played the pro (I think) bracket back at the Temple when they still had their thing.
