It has been pointed out to me that shortening a Halo B may locate a gap between paintballs right where the eyes are, but a) that wouldn't be an issue with a Reloader B and b) it seems like different guns have different enoug geometry that this could be a problem with any given feedneck.
So I say chop it.
I also suggest cutting the outside a little higher than the inside catch cup neck. This is to prevent a gap inside where the neck meets the inside of the guns feed tube, especialy with feed necks that are heavily chamfered inside.
A gap can cause balls to hang up slightly. It will still work... but it if you want the best... it's worth a little extra time in my opinion.
