Could put air-fares up a bit?

Wouldn't stop me thou - i'm FAR from religious so easter wk-end means nothing but chocolate to me :D
But seen as i'll be 18 by then i'll be too old for easter eggs :(
It would be a big problem stateside, but, our Christians tend to be a bit crazier.

Toulouse is back by popular demand.
Excellent news.

This year we have a first by holding an event in Belgium for the first time. This reflects the growing paintball scene in Belgium and the Benelux region. And is ideally situated for Uk, German and French teams to travel to.
What a piece of crap, tell it like it is: "it's close to the organizers and major sponsors, who are located in UK, France and Germany." I counted total of 4 teams from benelux countries in the 2006 rankings. And how about the ease of travel and expenses to scandinavian, southern and eastern European teams? I think they should have atleast one event (could be rotated).

I get the feeling this one is aimed more at the M5/Div 2-3 teams; the really big teams will travel wherever the events are as they will need to attend to get the necessary points, whereas lower ranked teams will attend just their nearest Millennium. The Benelux and surrounding countries have quite a healthy scene at the lower levels (well they did last time I looked into it, addmittedly a while back), and it's these lower ranked teams who are the bread and butter of the series. Add to that the nearness to (and therefore ease and cheapness of travel) France, England & Germany and they should get a healthy number of "domestic" level teams attending. I know Scandinavia also has a very healthy domestic scene, but the living costs in that part of Europe would put off teams who will only want to do their local Millennium and 1 or 2 more in the year.

Although it’s true that teams from further a field will find it difficult to travel (more expensive). I would imagine that the promoters need to be fairly close to the event as planning, organisation and ensuring the infrastructure of the event are time consuming. Also the players turn up for three to four days but the promoters and their staff have to be there days before the event to set up and days after the event. So it makes sense for them to locate the event near to them.

I don't think either of them are going, just the dates have not been confirmed for either of them.

Also, why get rid of Marseille?? Seems to be that when a tourny is a roaring success (Malaga, Marseille) they pull it the next year???????
