Theoretically (yeh ok get used to my spelling, it sux) msn is intended for poeple who alreayd know each other well enough to add e-maill addys to a list of contacts. Allowing 1 on 1 talks easily. IRC on the other hand is more liek a shall we say chat room, many users who do not need to know each other can pop on and of as they wish and talk to people thye know or meet new people they like / dislike.

i can set up a proper bling bling mirc channel that has things called BOTS which monitor and control the chat even if the admins are or aint there...

lol mirc is good but sometimes it can be difficult for people that hasnt used it b4 i have tho but at first i found it hard to get a hang off

i think the basic irc is easy to pick up for most people, however other scripts are what take a bit of mastering, things like NoName script etc.
Its true about being able to get an answer straight away if youve got an important question etc.
