You all seem adamant on mentioning that imported Mini's have no warranty, but every time I've had a problem with mine they have fixed it free of charge - And all I said is that I bought it 2nd-hand.

Not that I'm supporting importing them, just saying that importing them doesn't necessarily mean no warranty.

Weird how this one is rumbling along.... Warranties etc are just a small side line issue:

Look - I think the main point should be (and remember it's only my opinion):

a) Support your UK traders! These guys/girls, both on-line and bricks and mortar shops put a lot of effort and money in to make sure YOU ALL get the best kit that's available to either collect from your local shop or delivered to your door. (Yes, contrary to beliefs, even the online guys spend money on stock  and don't drop ship as some idiots think..)

b) If the manufacturers did not apply MAP pricing in the UK then retailers would "probably" end up shafting each other left right and centre to offer the cheapest prices - Great I hear some of you shout, BUT eventually shops would go bump (survival of the fittest or with most money) then you would all be knackered as you would have to:

1) Pay the only retailers left the massive price THEY COULD then dictate which could be massively above any MAP price (this has happened in many industries in the past)

or

2) Worse case is they all shut and you have to go abroad for your bits of macro line and little bits you happily buy from your UK retailers without moaning about prices...

Bizarre isn't it that nobody ever said to me "the price of fluffies, paint, gun oil, even playing kit etc was cheaper in the US can you do me a deal...."

I also believe that if you are that hard up to save a little bit here, a bit there on your Paintball gear - then I'd have a serious think on whether you can afford to do it.... Remember peeps, Paintball ISN'T cheap!!

So guys, stop trying to get things on the cheap all the time. And sod getting your stuff abroad - If you want a cheap hobby, take up needle working or something..

Oh, one more point. You look at the guys at the top of our sport, Chris Edwards, Stoney, Tommy Pemberton etc etc to name a few - They all started somewhere and got to where they are now paying VASTLY more than you guys are right now (I bet it was a fortune in the days of Robbo!!!). They were not always sponsored - I dread to think how much those guys have spent. Does anyone remember the price of boxes of paint 5-7 years ago and the price of say a Cocker with all the ups on it .... Good, count yourselves lucky guys.

SUPPORT YOUR UK RETAILERS....

End of rant...
