Official MS response?
I think it would be appropriate for the MS to provide an official explanation for Steve's non-involvement this year.
I appreciate that Colin may be 'close' to the MS in his previous paintball capacity, but I would prefer to get a reply from the 'horse's mouth' so to speak.
Most players appear to have been satisfied with the job Steve did last year, and I would be keen to know how that 'satisfactory performance' might have conflicted with the MS's or individual promoters' interests.
Surely they DID want him to do his job effectively?!

Andy's right; it shouldn't be discussed here. I was just responding to Colin's speculation.
I really appreciate the kind remarks here. Millennium chose someone else for the reffing job and it's a done deal. I have and will continue to support Ulrich any way I can so you might see me on a field at a Millennium event or two.

Hideously curious as I may be, I do agree this is for the parties involved to decide whether or not to make public, and I understand if they don't.
Still, I'm gonna miss seeing Steve running around with a puffed up red face, trying to get a million things sorted in 2 minutes (and somehow managing to do so...).
Good lord, we might even see Steve all mellowed out now. Not sure I can handle that.

I thank you for responding. Can I ask if you are the official spokeperson for the MS? The reason I ask is that none of the other members seems to appear on these boards.

You can identify official spokespeople by the response, "No comment."
May I suggest printing out a copy of the posted photos, get them laminated and then you'll have a spotter's guide when you attend an MS event.
PS--oh yeah. Since Steve-O was an official employee [bad pun intended] did he receive proper prior notice of termination? Surely there must be EU wide regulations governing how one goes about privately canning the help these days.
On a slightly more serious note while it might be valid not to discuss Steve-O's situation specifically the broader ramifications suggest the MS was unsatisfied so it seems a fair question to ask just what the MS has planned for officiating this season and how will it differ from last year's efforts?

Shame that there is no players rep on the board,less games for the same money,all the prizes at the top divs only,lack of info, looks like more of the same old Money making machine to me. I think maybe I am getting cynical in my old age or are teams starting to vote with there feet? A lot of teams seem to have nothing but praise for the so called smaller events were they get a lot more for there money and treated with respect even though they are not a pro team.Same old stuff just a different year.

Baco - As yhou can see from the first posting in this thread, Ulrich Stahr has been appointed to arrange the referees. We will have 70% pro judges this season and Ulrich has been tasked with the formation of a Pro-refs organisation. I am sure you will be hearing plenty from him shortly.
Uncle Fester - I don't know if you are aware but we a trying to form a players' comittee and are currently asking teams for nominations for election to the committee. Election will take place in Germeny. More details are available on the Millennium Series website.

What good is this players' comittee as all the big decisions have been made already? Oh well, maybe next year then..I'm still waiting for those things that will "blow me away".
