The Millennium Series are very pleased to announce the launch of Eurosport’s new TV series to run from this December and throughout 2009 across their network covering all of Europe, South East Asia and the Pacific. (See press release below).

The shows to be aired are in prime slots and will centre around the 2009 Millennium Series; They will also cover many other features within paintball which will be of huge benefit to the entire European paintball industry.

It has always been a goal of the Millennium Series to increase the profile of paintball to the widest possible audience in order to ensure more people are attracted to play our sport.
This has been our strategy from day one and after considerable time, money and effort, we are extremely optimistic that we are now close to achieving our dream.

With the potential size of the TV audience, there will now be plenty of opportunity for everybody capitalise on this series.
For those teams that have leases in the 2009 series, the potential to raise decent sponsorship from outside industry has hugely increased and for those prepared to do a little groundwork now, big rewards await.

For further information regarding this opportunity, or any other matter with the Millennium Series, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Don't they announce something spectacular every year? And every year there are some events you can laugh at.

# Bet you any money one4one and other media will not be allowed to go to any event.

# There will be one guy, one camera only filming CPL and various fit women in the trade area.

From my experience with the MS, if it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is.

I've been keeping an eye on the EuroSport web site, but have seen nothing announced and no addition of paintball to their sports list.

Also, the TV listings for the 18th December on British EuroSport and EuroSport 2 do not show any indication of a paintball TV show.

Am I missing something?
You've linked to the wrong date there Chris...

The Paintball Show is there.. at 7pm GMT it seems...

Getting paintball on TV is not the assured crock of gold some people seem to think, far from it.
I'm afraid paintball has been on TV many times on both sides of the Atlantic and both have suffered similar fates, and they suffered these fates for much the same reasons.

The only way real money is gonna be a significant derivative of paintball on TV is if it gets the audience ..... and therein lies the problem.

It hasn't in the past and probably won't in the future because our sport just does not translate well onto the screen in its present format.
We can bleat all we like about this and that but you cannot argue with what has already happened and the reasons why they happened.

In my opinion, we are flogging a dead horse ...and it died a horrible and embarrassing death some time ago :(
