Let me be clear

If the Champions League goes ahead next year in its present suggested form, I think it should consist of the teams that have fought all year to qualify for it.... NOT some teams that suddenly decided they wanted to take part anyway, and were given a spot they hadn't earned.

But, as said, a lot may happen between now and Toulouse, 6 months away, and it wouldn't be the first time a league got cancelled because something "better" loomed on the horizon (the EXL being the most recent example)

It used to be that teams came over to Europe because the paintball companies were having this phenomenal growth, the owners were on the teams, and it was just a nice business writeoff trip to Europe.

Money is a lot tighter now, and thus so is hte cross-ocean attendence.

New Champions League and the start of a professional league system. At the end of 2005 the Champions league will be locked to the top 15 pro teams plus the top Division 1 team. At the end of 2006 Division 1 will be locked. Teams will then be relegated and promoted at the end of each season. At last we will have true rankings based on actual results.

Here it is:

But as you guys say, a lot of things can happen during the winter!
