The registration did'nt open until 3.00 pm which caused delays and que's,we waited almost 2 hours for our pre-registered ID cards, which are now 10 euros more than last year.

Security was as lackluster as it normally is,as we found out the hard way by having our car broken into and 2 kit bags taken from the event car park,no comment on the millenniums attitude to this incident .

The wind was bad on the saturday and the millennium was right to suspend play due to saftey reasons but there was very little in the way of information being given out to the players/teams,but what did the millennium think might happen a week before there is a WINDSURFING championships taking place in that part of spain!!

Hopefully the millennium board will just write malaga off and make Paris a ranking event instead of an open one,but when that was mentioned to them they had'nt even thought about that alternative, just makes you wonder sometimes.

And that's the real issue. The Mill (or by extension paying customers), gambled on the weather and lost. Pulling the tournamnt on safety grounds was the only reasonable course of action, but there were no guarantees on the weather, especially this earlier in the year.

Now, if they were holding the event in Puerto Banus, I could've had a word with Kashoggi and have him move the yacht and act as a mahoosive wind break.

i personally thought the inflatable arenas were better. they seemed to hold up better against the wind and were able to be inflated and taken down quickly. its a shame we couldnt play but as rumoured perhaps we'll have more games in bitburg. it would have been nice, also, for the organizers to let us know earlier that they planned to cancel the event as some of the team were considering getting an earlier flight which they couldnt do as we didnt find out until 7pm that night.

Ive just got back about 10 minutes ago, and it was honestly the best time of my life, watched nexus and 2 points of icon, kicking back chatting to tommy p and brandon short in the sun watching paintball was awsome.

The inflatible netting was not so good in the wind, was watching the div 2 field and i got shot in the leg, its funny how the couldnt swap it to the old way of netting because the poles were bending. However it was a awsome standard of paintball and was fun to go down rain or shine.

Evo, just think of really big snake beams all the way around the field with the occasional one poking up to hold up netting.

Paintball on a beach has a 100% chance of being COMPLETELY affected by all weather conditions especially on the costa del ********. The only thing mills could have considered a bit better was the use of the megarenas.

It would not be the hardest thing in the world to have the top ring of wire that 'traditional' netting is attached to to be on a pulley rig so it could be raised and lowered with ease.

Or would that be to much like logical thinking for the Millennium.

The new arenas had pits doors on both sides of the field so if you wanted you could wander onto the field at any time. No brownie points for safety there.

Having the pit doors there also made watching the games more difficult and having a 3 foot high tube running along the base meant you HAD to be up on the sea wall or high on the bleachers to actually see the snake play.

This is no way 100 % of what is going to happen , but i have spoken to the some of the MS staff and this is there thinking around about 5 pm last night .
There will be 6 fields in Germany 3 will be Malaga field set up and 3 will be Germany Set up , They are redesigning the germany field this week , so its an easy change from the malaga set up .

The 3 Malaga set ups are going to be used to play the rest of the Prelim games and finish the finals off , I have been told there will be no extra day added to the event ....... however they have said if you are there early on thurs and the other team you were due to play againest in your final prelim game they will endevor to play thay game on thurs .
This will leave the teams that have qualifield to play up 4-5 games on the friday , Then maybe a prelim game from Germany as well , so in total a lot of paintnball on the friday if you qualify .
As it stands all div1 , SPL CPL have all played 2 games , leaving one prelim game and a possible 4 other games to the finals .

This is not gosspel but just from what I have got from certain sources.

So dont burn me if this all wrong , just trying to keep you all informed to what there thinking .
