Millennium Mode
With regard to the 'Millennium Mode' in Egos -
This mode of operation is my interpretation of what the Millennium rules will allow, based upon the limited information available. Whilst Planet Eclipse has been in communication with the Millennium Series for some time we have yet to have confirmation of the actual ruling, however with Huntington Beach only days away we had to make a decision about what to release and this was our best guess.
It is quite possible that we have made a mistake, in which case we will have a lot more work to do in Germany, however there are now a number of modes of operation within the Ego, including true semi, so whatever the final ruling the Ego will remain Millennium Compatible.

I have it on very good authority that the rule will be 15 bps capped semi auto, as in the release, with bps measured as time between shots. No trickery to it.
Do you think there will be any enforcement problems concerning the way a gun gets up to the cap? Will that part of the testing/monitoring be too subjective?
Maybe with all the new capped modes out there it will be very simple to monitor. Maybe a ref will be able to tell very clearly when a gun kicks off quickly to 15bps?
If it could work in a way that doesn't continue the unevenness between cheater and non-cheater then I think true semi would be best. The main thing that would bother me then would be the disparity with North American paintball that Nick B talked about.
If I had to take a guess, Millenium is trying to strike a balance between the European legal climate (i.e. semi only or government get mad) and the reality of cheater boards (at least the cheaters can only shoot 15 bps instead of 20).
