The best, up-to-date set of paintball rules were written by one person, and are maintained by one person (although they're not the same people).

Which rulebook are you referring to? NXL? PSP?

Of course it's possible, probably even desirable, for one person to be the rule writer. What I suggest is that it is best done with the consultation of several competent people.

I think so, it is in the rules. Last year they were checking the soles. But only when you played on turf.

Metal Spikes can puncture the bunkers, I'd say its still a no no.
