Guys 'n' Gals in P8ntland,

We at the Midlands Masters have been sitting back for a while now considering our next move, we have asked lots of teams, and players for their opinions. We have sent out questionaires to the teams on the MM committee, and we have absorbed the feedback from you the players at our events.

We are incredibly surprised at how things have played out over the last three season, and are especially thankful to all the people who have had faith in us and supported us from the start.
Without the help you have given there would be no Midlands Masters.

So, what does next year hold for you, well first up, the 5 player format will continue, however there will be a few changes.

1/ The 5 players series will run over 6 rounds.
2/ All events will be concept/sup-air.
3/ King of the Hill will be combined with the 5 player series, by having 1/2 dedicated divisions, and playing ltd paint.
4/ Prize packages will to be announced.
5/ No deposit - no play.
6/ Centre flag format.

New for next year Midlands Masters brings you the Central Paintball league,

1/ 7 player format.
2/ Played over 6 rounds.
3/ All concept/sup-air.
4/ Prize packages to be announced.
5/ No deposit - no play.
6/ TWO FLAG FORMAT.
7/ The league will be capped and closed from round 1.

Our flagship event the Welsh Open, will run over 2 days in late September, at the Marchweil site, Wrexham, Wales. The format will be 2 day, self seed, open, byo, 5 player, centre flag.

Finally back next year, and into it's third edition, having raised over £7500.00 to date, is Shoot the Rainbow 2004. We are currently working very hard with Kristian from Epoch, and are hopefully going to stage this fabulous event on the Isle of Mann, this will be the first ever paintball tournament on the island, and as allways a chance to show the world another side of our sport.

PLEASE POST YOUR VIEWS AND COMMENTS HERE.......

Kinda sounds like an attempt to close the league so that the same teams play each event.... sounds like a great idea, but will it work? (ie, what happens if a team can't attend the next event?) Or have I got it totally wrong?!!!

All sounds pretty mega to me :) Roll on 2004!!

Because you need to provide for the grass roots of the sport.
Not every team can get 7 players, so why exclude them from the tourney scene. 5 man league could be the feeder league for the 7 man

Midlands Masters is a 8 event series
King Of The Hill is a 4 event series
12 events over 11 months
nothing new there then
