MIDLANDS MASTERS 2003 - ROUND 1 - results

[Nitro Dan]

Nitro decided to opt out of this event (woodland) but some of the team including myself went along to watch and take a few photos. From what I saw everyone seemed to be having a good day and it was well organised. With the Midlands Masters and the Series 2003 getting off to a good start this years events look to be very impresive. Good luck to everyone who will be playing either of the series and keep up the good work Blakey and Mr Bull.

Thanks for such a great day!
This was my very first tournament and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I went out hoping to have a great day and ended up having the best possible - with the team placing 1st in division B! WOHOOO!

It was an experience playing a tourney in the woodland, but I'm really looking forward to a bit o 'sup air action!!

All of the teams we played agains were great sports and I hope to see them again soon.

Thanks a lot dude! I appreciate that. You guys did pretty darn well yourself! Which field did we play you on?

Um.....Team Vortex, (the original members at least) are formerly known as Fake ID I believe. They've been around for quite a few years and practice at Adventure Sport in Warwick.
They compete in a few tourneys a year - I know they were at Campaign and Amsterdam etc., but no special results there (they might have been playing as Aurora there aswell, we meant to change our name to that for this event, but the person who booked it couldn't remember our new name! DOH!
One of our main players fell sick at 5:30am on Sunday so we had to pull in a reserve - who, like me had never played in a tourney before!! So we weren't planning on try to do anything revolutionary - just have a great day 'ballin. As it turns out we were just in really good form.
I look forward to playing again as soon as possible

I have a to give some acknowledgement to (I think it's) team Legion (in the yellow), who were great sports after some controversy in our last game. Cheers guys

we played you on the field with the hill on it ******* field. i was knackered as i hadn't slept and you guys killed it off. Again great result.

That certainly was a bugger of a field!! You guys played hard - almost had us too! You were up about 3/2 - 1, but our man busted some crazy shiznit out in the open getting you're last players.
Great to see some females on a team too!
