It's like any other hobby enjoy it and do it as much as you can,it's better than sitting on the sofa in front of the telly,so it takes saving up for ,well a good night out with mates can cost the same, price of a taxi here just getting to town and back is a weekend scenario game and I know where I will be ( not sitting in the taxi lol)

I have been playing now for over 20 years, there is a small break of about 4 years in the middle but the buzz today to still there and its f**King awesome still. I will be 42 next month and cant see myself stop playing for quite a while yet.

For me I love to go out and play and win, but if we lose or draw as long as its with my team mates then I'm a happy little bunny. Some of my fellow team mates are really good friends and people I have known for 20+ years so playing paintball is more of a social event to be with friends, and have some trigger time.

The only advice I would give the younger players is to enjoy yourself, listen to your elders as some of them may have some good advice for you. If you can play and afford it then do it as often as you can.

I make the time and play once a month without problems, if I could play more I would but I like staying married !!!!

I mainly play supair. Paintball to me is not always about playing.
There are times when players lack in funds to beable to play, but can still get involved socially or helping your friends/team out on the day.
There will always be times when players have a busy life style from the need to revise/study in education, family commitments or work, yet a lot like myself, make little time to pop down to the field if only for an hour or two.

There was a time when i was playing and training almost every weekend, unfortunately since mid last year, i am having to take time out, probably only have the chance to play once or twice this season until i make the time to play next year.

If you have a busy life style out of paintball, im sure you can plan out to play just the once or twice a year.
If you have the time, but finding funds are low to play, why not try marshalling, or some way of helping the site.

I first ever played in 89 and would never of been able to play growing up, too much money!
The game was re-introduced to me a three years ago, a lot older and certainly not as agile but I reckon I do something paintball related 3 out of every 4 weekends as it keeps me out of my missus's way :D while she works but like this year if she wants to go away that comes first so no NvS ;( , nearly all my friends are players.

Even though in the last few months i've only played a couple of times due to tendon problems I still go to site, do the odd bit of marshaling (had I been a teenager, no doubt this would have made a great Saturday job) and do photography and video (pb related) and act as support for the team this costs nothing and I get to hang out with my mates.

I think its been said already balance is the key, prioritise the important stuff but don't necessarily sell up and leave altogether friendship and community are not the easiest things to find speaking as someone who has moved around a lot, shame to let all that go due to lack of time.
My team mates are just that mates and I wouldn't change that (y)

Whether its 1989 or 2014, theres not much more of a satisfying feeling than shooting someone in the face :)
+1, something really satisfying about landing a face shot and seeing the splat mark ( don't be dirty people ) So glad I ditched ploughing money into Cars and I mean Hundred and Hundreds all at once just for something else to pop up the next week, took the plunge been through 4 different markers now on my 5th and loving it, intial investments well and truly paid off, ditch the wife for the monthly walk on, take her for one too now and then it's great.

Plus unlike Motorsport it has a significantly less amount of dickheads / retards / wankers plaguing the game / "sport" Never had a proper row with anyone on site yet, Paintball Forums are a much friendly place too and better run / Modded.
