Imagine having to walk away from a place in the final, (against a team you aready walked over in the pre-lims) just because the event was so unorganised they couldn't keep things to schedule!

Well we did and it sucked big time!

Over and above the fact that......
.There weren't enough toilets.
.They packed us into the players area like sardines.
.The food was a joke.
.the netting was built by some bush mechanic let loose with a mechano set!
.some cant (with a u) stealing a bag from UK Jags.
.they only had 6 Airlines?

Where does all the money go?

Any way, well done wolf, POINT PROVEN !

P.S To the certain Uk team member (who's team didn't qualify) that stood there and cheered everytime we lost a player.....
NOT COOL, Where's the love . Thanks To all the teams that did support us, Backlash, Uk Jags, Unreal and the rest, you know who you are.

Just a quick post to thank a few people from the weekend,firstly a big thanx to all of you who supported the UK Xball team in Portugal especially PeeGee and Nick Truter who helped out in the pits and any one else who was there I cant remember all of you but thanxs ,we didnt win but I think we showed we can compete and we all look forward to the next one.
Secondly thanks to Magued for having the balls to stand up and speak out about the quality of judging which was terrible to say the least and I think Ton TOn and TON TON acyd have alot to answer for because they were crap(Im sure the yanks wont agree because they had good reason to like it)when will people stop sucking up to the yanks and being bias when there reffing its just unbelievable they let them get away with murder when every other team would be punished its well out of order and needs addressing.
Thirdly thanks for the jerseys!Not!I dont know how much thought went in to them but it wasnt alot and to make us buy 100 is absurd,another example of certain people doing whatever they want,I did object to the tops at the captains meeting but most of the people there where French and they seemed quite happy with the idea (I wonder why)and my points raised over the tops where scoffed at,and if every other team is taking it what choice do we have you cant just pull out and risk lookin even more stupid than we did in those f*****g things I think we may make our own!
And lastly an even bigger thanks to all those people who have tried to get us banned,slagged us of and generally putting us down over the last year because you have given the fillet we needed to prove you F***ers wrong and Im telling you now, and you all know who you are ,Shockwave are here and here to stay and normal service is resumed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shockwave received alot of respect at the weekend.

Not only for the way you guys played ball, or the way that you and the Tigers pulled together to compete at the highest level in X but also by the way that you handled yourselves and represented the U.K contingent that was there.

I know you have had your doubters and there have been people trying to knock you down at every turn but some of the sentiment in your last post will only go on to fuel there arguments.

Actions speak louder than words matey and your on the right track with your performance in Potugal. It did wonders for your team and U.K paintball.

Keep up the good work!!!

P.S I thought the X shirts really suited you................not

I've had three days now to calm my temper and try to compose my thoughts, but still the incompetence of some judges was inexcusable and makes me sick

The judges at this event did not appear to have read the rules and as suggested in another thread should be subject to deduction of some points. The marshalling teams seemed to be going through the motions in the knowledge that they would collect their 200 points.

A number of crap decisions were made on various fields including:
A 2 on 2 situation where a player bunkered the last two players of the opposition, after he was tagged all on his side, then grabbed the flag and posted it. The judges saw the shots rehung the flag, would not reinstate the last 2 players and let the last man on field get the flag and rehang it. At a minimum the player that had the shots (at least 5) should have been one for oned which would have given the opposition a max (i think) but the judges told the captain that they did not see him get shot and they would try harder in future.

None of the judges from any field made an attempt to protect eliminated players from excessive bonus balling. In some instances i noted at least 15 to 20 shots being made after players had stood and were walking off.

Players were asking judges for checks, judges were not responding either by moving towards the player or voicing their decision, then were waiting for the player to start shooting again and were inflicting a one 4 one penalty. I saw this at least 3 times. In two of the instances noted i would say that the player was genuinely unsure as to whether the ball had broken or not.

Numerous other crap calls were made, but i have ranted on for long enough now.

I congratulate Joy on their good performance and for Magued for having the balls to stand up at the presentation and tell it how it really was.

Well, the Ton Tons were a significant part of the judging staff at this event, now call me Mr Cynical but do you honestly think Laurent is going to sanction or allow any deduction of points from the offending judging teams?
I think not !
