I did with mine (this is going back about two years) and noticed an improvement in consistency straight away. Another advantage is that your barrel wont get iced up either!! oh i remember the days when gloves were worn to prevent your hand getting stuck to your gas-thru.... how times change:D
hope this was helpful and not just some fool reminiscing(?) about the "good old days" ok nuff said see ya
Sweet....I'm not the only one!

The Max-Flo as far as I know is an Air/Co2 reg - LikeRabies said, check with SmartPart or PlanetEclipse, the'll let you know for sure.

DON'T PUT 3000PSI AIR INTO THAT REG!!!!

It is only certified for 1000 psi or so, and after that it may well explode!

You can put a 3000psi bottle on it, using a reverse thread adapter (available from SP europe), but only ever fill it with CO2!
Then why do SP list on their site:
MAX-FLO.3000
Two gas systems in one. Fill it with C02 or compressed air without changing your reg set-up.
I think they gave up on the lefty thread bottles (even though they were a good safety feature IMO, because it prevented you from putting 3000psi into a different marker intended to take CO2) but otherwise the manifolds and regs sold with impulses were the same as a standard 3000psi Shocker reg.
