OK, having a few problems with my Trix.

The set up is:
Evolve framed LCD Trix
Trinity Reg
LPR
Evolve Bolt

After having a few problems with my bolt, got a new top hat from evolve, and tried to sweet spot the regs today.

Got the velocity to the 285 and then let the LPR out until the pressure dropped then twisted it back in half a turn, I understand this is this is the best way, anyone tell me different???

Anyway, first shot seems fine but when I let a string of shots off, even 2 or 3, all but the first are dropping off considerably.

Also, after each shot the seems to be a little release of gas after the shot has fired, then it seems to seal itself again.

Have checked all the bolt O rings, they all seem fine.

Anyone any ideas????

Thanks

Davo

Taken from Matrixowner.com;)

This is Setting your LPR for the simple people:

Five simple steps to setting your LPR (Trinity, PBC, Shocktech, DYE, PP):

NOTE: Some LPR's can not be turned all the way in and it will cause you bolt to remain stuck forward.

1. Turn in your LPR 3/4 to all the way in.

2. Set your velocity via the inline regulator.

3. While taking slow shots over the chronograph slowly turn out your LPR until you see a drop in your velocity( +/- 10 Fps).

Note: Bad paint or Barrel to paint match can cause jumps in FPS

4. Turn your LPR back in about 1/4 to a 1/2 a turn to obatian consistency in FPS.

5. Walk your trigger as fast as you can. If you nottice dropoff or shootdown turn your LPR in a smidgen.

Congratulations! Your LPR is now set correctly!

P.s The way you have described is for setting Cocker LPR's IIRC

Cheers, I thought about stripping down my inline, have cleaned out the LPR already, just seemed strange that it only occurred when I changed the top hat ?

Thanks

Davo,

you might want to check you rebuilt the LPR correctly as they can be a little fiddly to rebuild depending on the model.
