an alternative to butter is 'buzzys, slick honey' - no it's not a sex aid, it's a mountain bike fork lubricant, enables a lower lpr setting and reduces your bolt stick setting (if you have a chip that will allow you to adjust it)

Only thing i'd say is that i'm not convinced it's that much better in winter than dye's own lube, spread thinly it lasts for ages and sticks really well to the components.

Have used Dow33 & Cinnamon Butter in the past I find Slick Honey to be the best I have used so far. I would avoid any Teflon grease as contradictory to popular belief this is not good stuff. It can cause problems if it gets into the solenoid as it remains as solid partials which expand under heat and deform under pressure with the result it congeals into a larger solid.

There are also questions about Teflon being carcinogenic.
