Definitely get in contact with local sites and ask what their requirements are. Go visit them in person and try to have a word with the management when its quiet, it'll leave a good impression if you actually show you're genuine.

I got my job offered after a day playing with my own gun, its all about the passion because you need to inject the fun into the day.

p.s I used to get £60 :D

£60? christ :O

I got £30 a day for working as a basic marshal at paintball extreme, £35 for base marshalling and game managers got £40. Long days work, hard graft, but frankly it pays for your next walk on day and u get to hang out at the place and with the people you love. You can also learn alot about the sport from watching people play, even if they are only punters.

Id recommend you go for it, age isnt so much a problem, its maturity. All i will say is, getting hit when playing paintball is one thing, but getting ur groin lit up from close range WITHOUT the adrenaline going round you does kinda hurt :-/

that is the only thing with marshelling defonitely, the no adrenaline part, and being shot at by the people you are supposed to be protecting from injury, but it is a job i love to do, and you will too

I had an extremely good boss who took care of the staff. Even the canteen girls / pot bitches got the same wage  (not sexist or anything, but they didnt exactly get shot at).

If anyone would like, I'll see if I can find a marshalling guide I did as a project for school, some of it is stupidly common sense but you might pick something up. PM me and I'll see if I can find a copy.

And yeah, no adrenaline = pain.

I can't remember who was saying it now about ' You have to have passion for it not just for the money' ........ Trust me dude, anything to do wit paintball i love.

But cheers for the advice guys! much appreciated
