yeah that always gets a good vibe going. just chat between games and have a laugh with them. if something funny happens during the day, make the call as you should, and then laugh after they have. dont just stand there and laugh because a guy's back turned green as he walked off. get him off the field asap and give him a pat on the shoulder and have a laugh with him.Originally posted by uptown
yeah all of the above, and a few helping hands like how to hold a gun to get the best accuracy and stuff like that is nice too
*keep focused on your job, dont just stand there wishing it was you who was playing,
*move around and make it look like youre constantly on the edge and ready to dive in to make a call.
*your decision is final. if you didnt see it, it didnt happen.
*goggles on, scream at them if necessary, you wont get fired for enforcing the rules now will you
*mingle as much as possible and ask how there day is going. tell stories of other punters youve marshalled, or make one up!
oh and lastly, dont be scared to run across the field and get lit up along the way. if you yelp in pain when you get shot theyll think its a laugh and shoot you again later...oh and dont forget to cover your groin with one hand when running...as i found out numerous times
