The way I see it, although some people may disagree, a back player should shoot whatever he feels comfotable with, weather it be a shocker, angel, bushmaster, hey maybe you like shooting with an old pump like a phantom :D , just go with what you like best. But dont forget being back you need to lay down serious amounts of paint. Hope my parental like advice has assisted you on your way:p

Whcih marker

The eternal question. I know back players playing with Cockers, Shokers, Mags, Angels, Busheys...

As Gurney said, shoot whatever you like the feel of, with whatever you want to do (i.e if you need to lay down loadsa paint, then maybe a phantom isn't the best choice; but if you go for first ball acuracy to catch them maybe its just the one you want.

So if you like your shocker, get a nice set of barrels for it, and you are all set

after using a matrix on the second day at the birmingham indoor i began to have my doubts ie rate of fire and accuracy if a matrix is better are there any better markers out there
or would i be better off buying a air system and ditching co2

ROF/Acuracy

Well I think we are way out of my knowledge here, but if its accuracy you want then the classic is the cocker, and if its ROF then a blade cocker or an Angel...bushey...pretty much any electro.

Anyways, a very wise piece of advice that anyone on this board will give you is: Try out loads a things, find one that you like, then buy it.

Does a shocker work on air? If it does, then that might improve your velicity consistency (i.e verticle accuracy).

Hey mole, why don't you try Adrians angel, my cocker with the Blade frame and Gimps cocker with the standard trigger type. That way you would have tried the (suppoesd) best electro and (supposed) best mechanical marker. Then you can have a better idea of what you like and can make a better decision. Then if you still like a Matrix you can see wg=hat Sheriff has going. If you did go to air then you would need a 1.5 4500 psi system for the shocker and matrix.

Charlie.
