I usually never answer these threads but I'm so happy with my gun I've basically decided to never get a new one unless there is a major technological break through that really makes a difference.

There is no better gun than the ego. Why?

EGO = NO PROBLEMS

1) So Reliable
2) Real easy to take apart and clean as well as tune
3) As close to design perfection as it gets (I'm talking functionality here not looks)
4) Air efficient
5) Parts and service everywhere
6) Planet is a super solid company which means there is little risk of seeing them go out of business any time soon
7) Lots of aftermarket parts which means once you do have more cash you can upgrade it to a Light Sabre
8) And Planet has best R&D in the business
9) Great in cold weather
10) Ergonomic and real comfortable

I bought a Nexus Ego 05 from Clint Moore 2 years ago, the gun had been used thouroughly as you can imagine and was well dirty when it arrived meaning it had already seen some punishment. And I take pretty lousy care of my gun. After practice or a tournament I hardly wipe it down and shove it in the bag until next time. When I took my gun out of the bag after winter break, the trigger was stuck due to the dried paint. But in 2 years it has NEVER broken down once. All I ever had to change was a ball detent. Unbelievable. I've had a Matrix, an Intimidator, a Cyborg, Karnivores, E-Cockers and have seen my mates with their Angels and DMs. They have all had issues. Bolt stick with the DMs and Shockers, problems in cold weather, Shockers break paint like nothing else and always have problems, battery cables breaking on Cyborgs and no replacements to be found on the European continent, Timmies lousy production and have to be fully taken apart and cleaned before airing up the first time otherwise you blow the solenoid. Don't get me wrong these are all great guns when they are running but so is the Ego and it never breaks down. I have even used it in sand and no problems.

You will never need another gun. Who cares about a gun losing value. You want one that will last you through the years this is it.

The only major technological break throughs I have seen in the past 2 years is in the boards and programs and they are aftermarket parts anyway. The guns today are just smaller and lighter....

Plus you live 30 minutes away from Planet, how can you hesitate?
