Thanks for your idea, but i think it's right as it is, most people use them on a table or shelf, something that's reasonable flat and off the ground, the tripod method that i use has worked my other stands i've made.Busting in hope you don’t mind.
Suggestion, the two front feet of you made them adjustable/extendable you could have them at different lengths depending on the ground surface.
Or at the end of those two feet you could have a crows foot.

Ah right, it actually serves no purpose though and is more material and extra work, i'm using 6mm steel rod and while you could bend it out of shape it's not going to bend under the weight of a marker and hopper, plus i can bend and adjust it's stance a little bit so everything lines up properly when assembled.Yeah I know they are amazing and love mine.
