just quick addition, also depends on the marker type. With speedball markers, they look nothing like a real firearm, but with some woodsball markers such as the TM15 and X7 etc. things might be different just because they look similar to real firearms.
That will not be an issue on a correctly transported gun/marker that is bagged etc.
The speedball markers have the 'bling' look but still need to be bagged and covered in public
With the VCRA anything deemed to look like a gun in anyone's opinion can be classified as a RIF, and as paintball has no exemption it becomes an offence. Technically unless a bling marker is one of the classified exempt colours anyone thinking 'he's got a gun' can make it an offence.
Bag it properly or you can be commiting a firearms offence with a air weapon in public irrespective of type
Possess something that anyone thinks is a real gun then that is potentialy a VCRA offence
