Just squeege out your barrel every time you use it and wash it if you had a break. Gun wise though is hard to give "universal" help. Most guns you just need to clean and drop 3-4 drops of lube in the ASA and shoot a couple shots to get everything lubed. However, This is VERY important. If you have a high end gun, get specific instructions from the shop. For instance if you drop conventional lube in a low pressure gun like a timmy, you'll just screw up the internals. So be very careful, most starting guns like tippmans, spyders, etc even cockers require you to only lube, like I described, after each time you play. But please get specific instructions on how to maintain your gun from the shop. They wont steer you wrong.
