Can I just duck under the hail of fire here and qualify my statement.

I was under the impression that Blackstar were a good UK Novice team, possibly Am (similar to Thunder). Therefore, I would have expected them to play Novice - the step up from the Rookie which I thought was very much as Nick described it. I agree that an OK (not the good ones) UK Am team is prolly equivalent to a US Novice, similar to why we play Mills as Novice yet are possibly Am by UK standards. To my mind, I only care about my relative "goodness" on the Millennium circuit, and there we are most certainly Novice.

I didn't mean to start any wars, I was just suprised. Perhaps they have gone through roster changes or something, but I thought Novice in Euroland was equivalent to Novice in the States.

It seems the dicussion is no longer for public forums but I still would like to discuss it a bit further, I have removed form my origonal statement, what I admit to be a slamming comment, but have left the core of the statement which I stand by whole heartedly in case people wouold like to comment...

however I have lost your e-mail address...

Hey, just because Euro teams don't do as well over here as they'd like, it doesn't mean that we don't want them over here for reasons other than to pummel on them. I like meeting people, in fact, at least half the fun of going to tournaments of any variety is being around the people. We shoot at each other, cheer on each other's games, gulp down beer and laugh at each other's hangovers and inability to play afterwards (which is a big reason some teams don't win at all and they don't apparently want to change), dance, swap stories, fix stuff, plan further travel, etc. What better addition to the mix than people from far away? I learn more from everyone I meet, and anyone that doesn't do the same isn't living life anywhere near as fully as they could.

Oh, and keep those Brit DJ's coming over here! Their Heaven spins ROCK! Will there be more Heaven soundtrack CD's available in the future? I love mine!
