Nicky... ... ... ... ... Baby!

Nick,

It is true that we have not seen eye to eye on a lot of things in the past years but nevertheless, most of the time, I find myself able to read the incessant drivel you post without passing comment...

However your latest post (above) just reconfirms my belief that you are no more than a Professional leech and the only status you have in the sport is from printing words and talking in a way as to blow sunshine up the arse of those who are of great influence and power in the sport and slagging off those who either can't defend themselves or won't lower themselves to defend themselves to a misplaced 'paintball figure' as yourself.

Your comments on how no Euro team could possibly win a game against the yanks in the AM division of the Mardi Gras, is of course bollocks and proven to be...

My team played the tourney and did not come out with any kind of significant result, (unlucky lads-wish I could have been there with you). but my point is this, my guys went out there and played, with 'yes' the yanks, unarguably the best country in the World when it comes to team on team, their whole way of life is based around paintball and fair play to all of them who do it.

The guys went there to play against some of the best in the World to gain more experience and to enjoy the sport for what it is... and did so. My team has been of solid core from the 1st punter day to the ranks of the Millennium series that we play now and have earned whatever respect we have through hard graft, practise and teamwork.

My question to you Nick, (before I totally stray from my original point) is this...

You sit there quite willing to slag of the whole of Europe (except NBK, arses against the wall boys, I think Nicks got a bit of a crush)... with your very definite opinions but tell me, what gives you the right, who gave you the right?

I have not seen your growth & success through our industry, not like Robbo, whose opinions I might not always agree with but I have to give him the respect he deserves from being around so long and achieving what he has.

I have yet to meet one and I do mean ONE person who respects you your values or your opinion... which is a shame because you have a good soul... you play paintball... but maybe your time would be better spent making real friends in the sport rather than just kissing the arses of those who seem powerful to you & spouting **** that you heard someone else say two months ago... I'm sure your a nice guy really but help us to help you... If you perhaps concentrate on your game and social skills maybe you'd gain the respect I'm sure one day you'll deserve... but lets not hold our breath eh!!

(Here endeth the soap box session for today)

Nick no need to reply...as I’m sure you'll agree everyone’s entitled to their opinion.

"Apart from maybe NBK, not one single Euro Am team would stand a chance in the Am division at Mardi Gras.... and I don't mean stand a chance of qualifying, I mean of winning even a single game ! "

Nick, I gotta agree with the Brit...either that was designed to provoke a response - in which case it worked - or it was a real dumb-ass thing to say.

Peace

Nick

Nick,

It's Pete not mark!

you respond as if its the first time you have said anything offensive to anyone!

my response was not about the rushers it was about all teams in general who fell under your euro bracket.

as for your guarded threat, I would assume it is all of course tongue in cheek cause a man of your age surely wouldn't stoop to a 'my dads bigger than your dad' pissing contest.

You miss the point

Nick,

who you are as a person is persieved and reflected in what you say & do!!

The entire point of the e-mail was to get your back up... maybe i'm wrong but it seems you do exactly that to many many people... and because you give out great sweeping remarks about countries or player catagories without due thought and /or true facts you offend these groups of people... me included.

you are constantly on the internet sites and consistantly trying to make a name for yourself in this sport, fair play and the best of luck to you...

but if you actually thought slightly more about what you are writing before you push the send button then people may persieve you more as a person that puts time and thought into a constructice sentence rather than just someone who is willing to slag off all those who you believe to be of no use or importance to you.

FACTS

My argument is not with what or who you attack, if everyone were to think the same about every one or everything then a very boring world it would be...

my point is that when you give your sweeping statements, many of them are totally untrue and are not backed up with any fact, that and the fact that you always seem to be demeaning the smaller 'people' within the sport, I detest that and feel that that sort of negative opinion or action is damaging to the sport.

so the case of american teams being better than euro teams as a whole is not in question, of course they are but for you to make a statement such as you did is not only totally untrue it again demeans Euro teams.

are you honestly telling me that you do not see anything wrong with the statement you gave...

Hey guys, calm down a bit, this is getting personal.
Nick, I agree with TJ that was an exceptionally provocative statement to make. European teams go out to the states quite often & do get the odd result, but they may not bother if you keep telling them they haven't got a chance of winning a single game.
And Pete - I thought you'd know better than to react so strongly to such an idiotic comment by Nick.
How about you two take this away from the public boards and sort this out by email, or when you meet up on the field in the Millenniums this year. This is making both of you look a bit silly & isn't exactly a great advertisement for senior players in the sport!

re mardi gras

:D Just a quick one boys, I have just come back from the Gras, yes all the divisions were very hard.. I was at Pittsburgh am open in 2000 & the rookie division was very easy ,Rec ball players with standard out of the boxes Tippman's & Spiders running 10 oz bottles, Standard VL 200 hopper, No motors or batteries and if they were lucky 2 100 shot pots ! All the divisions at the gras were kitted up to balls with kit & sponcers, Having been to the Zap am open I wrongley thought the rookie division would be to easy for us. So,we, Budby Wrecking Crew not an official team just made up of whos available entered novice, won 3 games lost 2 games and got spanked in 3 games.

Black star did well in their div to get through I watched some of their games & the people they were playing were not rookie ! by europeon standards. The mardi gras is popular & very expensive and all teams there went for it big time. The difference between the Yanks & european teams, they want it more !.

Well done to all the european teams who did the trip.

PS the Millennium series is better, More games, (10 not 8 ) better & bigger fields, Cheaper, and for us, closer.

One big gripe about the gras 130+ teams on only 4 fields, its was a struggle and yes over an hour plus late on both days.
