Manchester Nights Out?

Hey guys, im off to manchester next saturday for some stag do goodness. Im staying on portland street.

Any good tips of good watering holes? Thought id ask the large manchester contingent here on things to see and things to avoid .

if you like indie i'd recommend 42nd street or 5th av. Depends, and not to be ageist of course, how old you are though. The printworks can be good and ive heard the northern quarter is good as well although ive never been myself (northern quarter in manchester city centre, not the paintball site lol)

You should definately go to Canal Street, there are dozens of pubs and all your mates will love you forever!

Indie clubs: 42nd Street and 5th Avenue
Big commercial clubs: Head to The Printworks to Pure, Tiger Tiger or Opus
If you are bit of a raver like me it has to be Sankeys.
Canal Street is the Gay Village.

we are all mid 20s . Think someone already said canal street is the gay area.

I guess they will just want the commercial clubs? Im not into commercial clubs myself, but im not the one getting married, so have had to go buy a shirt cos im told Manchester is especially strict on lack of collars? ... haha

we are checking in the hotel around 3pm, then hitting the pubs we can find, eating and then whatever bars and clubs are deemed good, so keep the suggestions coming But thanks for the tips thus far

Northern quarter - bluu bar + loads of others, mint lounge as an end up......chilled out, relaxed and a cool crowd. We used to start in Deansgate Locks (Loaf, revolution & Atlas bar) then move up to NQ later on.

i seriously approve of the northern quarter, fit women, loads of one pint bars, hit them then move on....!

all else fails just ask people.....! make sure no ones wearing stripes.......manc bouncers get confused and just say no.....also.....if your in a crowd over 5 , split up when hitting a bouncered bar,......!

ps, i would have to object with those saying 5th av and 42nd are options...i just dont think that will be right for the night....!


printworks is a full on club location...lots of stags will be there....!
