Those boots aren't cheap, and there are quite a few geese aren't if I remember. This was probabley worth a lot more than the average "sponsorship" that people like to shout about.
17 members signed on with a target of 31 by the end of the year (which will make us bigger than Blue!) - you do the math!! :D ;)

Whilst I can't make editorial comment on what is and isn't included in PGI, the fact is the US readership is 10 times what it is in the UK, despite this UK and Euro articles account for a much greater proportion of the magazine than the readership base. It probably is a bit of a bummer when you've worked hard to gain sponsorship etc, but magazine space is hard pushed as it is. The other problem is the UK rec scene is very small in comparison to that of the US. In the US it's huge, where as in the UK the vast majority of own gunners are tournament players.

It would be good to hear more of this side of UK Paintball as the Geese are the only scenario team I've heard off (well playing today). I'm sure there are many more teams, but it's all a bit quiet over there. Although tournament players maybe more vocal, I think any arrogance people think is directed towards rec-players is miss placed. Any arrogance and "slagging" is usually reserved for our peers within the tournament fraternity.

ok ok robbo

as long as it was meant in good humour which now looking at the smilies in ure post i may have been a bit quick to judge but i do also get disgruntled some times because i am the person hunting for sponsorship within or external of paintball for my team so i do get peeved occasionaly.

my apologies;) ;)

i am intrested why you singled out the fact that i am a p.a. ref which i take very seriously.
Just wondering thats all???

If i had to explain it - the point would be somewhat diminished :)

What Glen failed to say was that if y'all are feeling left out I'd be happy to offer some equal opportunity abuse. I mean, seriously, scenario teams? Please! It's kinda like paintball Chess Club, isn't it? ;) :)
