Johan and the crews best move was the Tontons vs. Consilium Dei maneuver.


They chronoed the players and proceeded to start the game. Then the 30 second warnig came..... aaaand then Johan started to scream "GUns on the Ground". Then the Marshalls rechronoed ALL the guns.

Suprise suprise the Tontons had SIX hot guns Consilium had none. Then after the usual bitchfest they agreed to rechrono the guns again shooting two shots. Two impulses remained on the ground....

Now either something fishy was going on or Smart Parts should fix their regulators

Oh and one more nice story how theese guys rivaled FBI interrogators, and how mercilessly served the LAW to the ones who deserved it:

I shot the middle back guy of the opposing team on his hopper (guesting pro player) and screamed to the marshall to go and check it out. (the guy was still shooting) Johan ran up to them and told the guy that he is hit and he will get 1-4-1 for the hit.

The guy said "Hey why do you 1-4-1 for a hopper hit its not a self check zone"

He said: "Yup it isnt but since you knew that you had been shot on the hopper you will have the 1-4-1 for playing on"

Then he pulled the guy and his teammate.

Now imagine the faces

Dam...The Marshalls

Just wanna give a huge up to the organizers and staff of the masters.
We as marshalls were treated like VIP's, whatever we asked for to carry out our job we were given, plenty of fluids and a nice touch with the ice boxes to put them in, plenty of fruit for the day and that was on top of lunch, the other nice touch was every now and again a group of kids would come round to your field and clean the bunkers, so the marshalls could get a bit of shade and rest for a bit

All in all it most most acceptable

Fantastic reffing all-round, save for a couple of incidents on field 6...

Tigers and Backlash were superb - Backlash made some really good, hard 1-4-1 calls in difficult situations, and got them all right from what I saw.
