Mad props for the Backlash and the Tigers

...Their reffing at the 'dam was incredibile!

They respected no names no pressure ONLY the rules. They were hard, fair and quick. (ask the tontons) The LAW was laid down no matter who it was and how long the bitching was.


UNLIKE the other fields where the reffing was at least questionable.
There were headshots wiped down (multipile ocassions) for no apparent reason. Some of the refs acted like they had cement sneakers on and couldnt care to check out hits.


Those guys have a lot to learn from the UK lads..


On the other hand the event was Super nice and the organization was tight ! (Congrats for the PB Jungle ppl)

yes backlash and the tigers did a great job.

which is a lot more than can be said for some of the others. it didnt just stop at the usual wiping down players of their own nationality. one marshal actually let air out of a bunker to stop the player being shot!!!!

more english marshals please!

Was deflating the bunkers on field 4 by any chance!!
We let air out before some games as the heat was causing the bunkers to inflate to nearly rock hard and paint was bouncing over the netting making it unsafe for spectators.

Totally agree with the above, although the Jaguars on field 4 were spot on to! All the 'English' reffs were amazing! The event was superb, and the marshalling on the whole was superb. We only had one problem on Field 6, where a mugger was shot in the nuts before he mugged our player, yet the judge said he wouldnt have felt it, and it wasnt in the self check zone..... Balls of steel not to have felt it?

The next time we played that field though, the judges were spot on and fair.

well i doubt
if it was the ref who was located next to the mayatemple
since he got shot in the nuts himslef twice
amd
he sure didn't look like he had balls of steel

and IDD British Marsalls were the best
No biased calls or at least
no obvious ones or lack of calls like we saw from some french marshalls (ravenfield being the worst IMO)

Thoroughly enjoyed this tourney - after the 'Dam last year, I swore I would never return but it was such an improvement. Marshalling was so much better as well (aaah, English teams...) - special thanks to Johan who managed to 'Murray Walker' our game by saying how rare it is that you guys get shot in the nuts and how in 15 years of playing, it has never happened to him......... our last guy in on that game got mugged point blank on his pride and joy, how we laughed at the irony of it all (soz Colin! )
