Sorry guys but there is some crap being spoken here...

In the pneumatics industry there isnt a term "macroline" its just a term paintballers use.

When you buy a paintball gun the plastic pipe it comes with is a rated, approved pneumatic pipe that will have usage rating of well over 850psi, which is the maximum any preset will put out.

As for the fittings the best place to buy from if not off tom (who knows his stuff!) is a regular pneumatics place, they will sell you rated, tested parts that will easily handle the pressure you put through them, as with most things in paintball the fittings used are just parts that paintballer have borrowed from other industries so they are always available (usually cheaper too) elsewhere to paintball outlets.

*By the way i am not trying to put you off toms stuff as i'm sure its perfectly good kit knowing tom!

By Macroline I am referring to the air pipe and fittings that were introduced by smart parts in the 90's when they introduced their low pressure guns (ie shockers and impulses where input to the gun is 300psi at the most).

The fittings are rated to 240PSI (or it could be 290, my memory sux) the only reason why they dont blow up under normal use is because the burst pressure is always at least 3 times the working pressure.

Try putting 2000psi into standard paintball air fittings (stand well back kids), it wont take it, the retaining collar will break every time.

But if its rated to 800psi then it SHOULD be able to take 2400psi all day long without failing.
Show me a pressure test certificate that says differently and I will gladly concede the point. Ive seen the one for Toms fittings.

It may be Hard to beleive that many of us are using inadequate air fittings but I have had this confirmed by several retailers, who have admitted the air fittings they are selling to me technically shouldnt be used.

Toms fittings on the other hand burst at 3500PSI, which caused the pipe to blow, the fittings that were tested are still in use to this day.

You cant buy the pipe from a paintball shop and the air fittings off Tom because Toms fittings are metric and the normal air fittings are imperial.
That is why I said Toms fittings arent 'macroline'. Just to differentiate between the two as they are not compatible.
