I have owned a few Macdev Droids and Clones over the years and have always been told to run them on LP when possible due to the Gladiator regs being sensitive to higher output bottles and causing the Gladiator regs to leak around the velocity adjuster area mainly the reg seat or the really small o-ring that sits on the outside of the velocity adjuster screw.
Saying that my current Macdev Droid runs just fine on HP,so i think it's hit or miss whether your Drone will run ok on a HP output bottle.
