My neighbor owns a spider shutter. Looking at pictures of a Black Dragon I guess I just don't see what you are talking about. I looks the same to me.

I've noticed that too, externally they look the same. Where the cradle attaches to the grip is ok, thats standard spyder stuff, my problem is on the other end of the cradle, where it attaches to the bottomline. I though it was the same on spyders as it is on spyder cloned, but I guess its not.
On the Dragun, the mounting holes for the cradle-bottomline are set right next to each other, which is unlike any cradle I have ever seen. Its all probably just a marketing ploy to get anyone who wants a longer cradle to buy another reggie and bottomline.

i know www.paintballgateway.com sells a drop forward that accepts all bolt patterns. don't know if it's longer than the standard dragun drop.
I know this is probably late but, the Black Dragun Basic is a great gun. I have one and the rate of fire and accuracy is not bad. The only upgrades I have on it are a VL barrel and a 12VT Revy w/x-board. I love the weight, quality, and rof.
