Tried that - it got ignored! :( Even polite requests to players not to come into the inner sanctum are ignored, then when I raise my voice at the 3rd time of asking they storm off in a huff. I can't really completely enclose myself, as I do need to get out now and again for things like toilet breaks, plus this time, for the first time at any M25 event, I actually took a short break and watched 2 whole games!!!

I really can't stop everything the very moment people ask me to so I can check scores for them - that's the way mistakes get made in entering scores into the spreadsheet. And I doubt anyone would blame me for getting just a teeny bit irritable when the 20th person in 10 minutes demands I drop everything as they have to know their score that very second - especially when they are the 3rd person from the same team in a 5 minute period!

I'm with u all the way on that Liz(u do a fantastic job and have never been anything but polite and pleasant to me). I just seemed to remember at one of the previous legs when i was actually standing there not askin u questions and tryin to stop a couple of players from distracting u when a certain somebody waded in and shouted at ME to leave u alone  (surely a little thought to asses the situ b4 wouldn't have gone a miss)

and believe me i have experienced bein in the organisers position but the ballers r the customers and u have to speak to them with some degree of respect!!

Like i said in my last post the venue etc was ace and it could b a top series but there r serious issues !! and if the judgin standard doesn't increase u will find more teams pushing the boundaries !

Keep at it girls.......

Sparklie and Liz,

Keep at it girls, you are doing things the right way, address issues that occur after each leg, and continue to grow, and improve.
We are now into our third season, and we're STILL learning, and improving.
You will NEVER please everyone, so don't beat yourself up when a couple of people moan, just listen and act if appropriate.
The players are your customers however, and without them no series.

To quote a friend, " How do you boil an ocean? One pot at a time"

Any help that we can offer to our UKPL partner, just ask.

Blakey.

I get the impression that there was consideration given to folding the Series. Given the comments that were bouncing around the net about the last leg, the thought of just throwing in the towel must have looked like a very good option.
Glad to see that you have faith in what you are trying to achieve.
As organiser you have to field players coming to you with all sorts of comments and problems whilst you are trying to keep everything running smoothly. There is no easy solution to this problem, but from those of us outside the M25 series
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
and that goes to all your fellow Series organisers, especially Blakey who has to deal with me.
Without you guys and "gals" there would be nothing.
