The problem with getting northern marshals down is the massive cost, as the petrol alone for the round trip would probably be in the region of £50, then they would have to sleep somewhere. Even with car and room sharing, that ends up doubling the cost of a ref.

I think it's some thing to do with the feature on marshaling they did last month Gilly was featured as the tourney marshal.
