A couple of leads there but the problem with auto.org is that the tech forum is huge and threads get lost and overtaken easily but nothing i hadn't thought of already really. i'm guessin the bore of my barrels is a tad small, but i tried taking the bolt out and fitting it in the back of the barrels in question and it fitted ok(? go figure?) so i'll have a play when i next get to a site with air! i'm off in a couple of weeks so i'll prolly go to AGD and see what they can do for me.
cheers,tb-303

Saw this at automags as well but I'll answer it here.

One possible area you might want to explore regarding this is the barrel locking mechanism.

Now different barrels have different outer diameters and have the locking grooves milled in differently, you can adjust the spring tension in the locking stub by an allen key. It should be in front of and above the trigger, wind the screw in = more tension. (you might have to take grip frame off, can't remember off hand)

Now this will lock the barrels in to different degrees, the problem might have been barrel wobble? by locking them in tighter this can be prevented if not excluded entirely. The bolt might have caught on the lip of the barrel maybe?

Hope this helps, e mail bad.dave666@btinternet.com if I can help.

Sounds like a plan, i'll try that. i'm sure the barrels are ok and the problem is the bolt/barrel alignment is the problem and that adjustment of that grub screw makes a whole lotta sense.

cheers Dave, see you soon(pub things have started up again at the flag in watford if you're interested)

Might sound a bit low tech but have you checked the nubbins,`cos Lvl10 bolts don't take any stopping ,try the barrels without nubbins and see if the fault is duplicated
