Lucky valve

Give us a ring i will sort a spring out for you.

Also just to clarify there is no 2nd gen ego valve.

GAZ as a quick setup guide we have an 05 ego here running with the lpr springs flipped and flush adjuster, the input at 290 and the dwell with a lucky board at 12 so about 10 on std board. this gives us a consistant 280
Can you confirm that the current Lucky Valves are more reliable than the first run.

I have heard lots of stories of leaks that cannot be resolved among other things.

I wanted to purchase a lucky valve, but was put off by the horror tales

Thanks

David

Mine is sweet!!

Got my LAAV a couple of months ago, Installed into my 05 ego no problems (just bought new QEVs and hose to save breaking my qevs and if I completly made a pigs ear of it all I could always go back with minimal fuss!). Parts all went in fine, swapped my lpr springs around, swapped the back stop bumper off the ali ram (it looked like it would last about 1 sec on ramp!) and swapped it for the standard eclipse 1, upped my dwell to 11, lpr adjuster 1 3/4 turns in from flush (if im remebering correctly!!) all works fine fps in the 260-270 range with a good paint - barrel match! lower kick consistency about the same!! Ive played 2 tournies with it since and loads of practice sessions and all fine and dandy!!

Any probs give me a PM I might be able to help!! (since I take care of most of the guns on my team!)

Ok so it sounds like its not going to have too much affect on input pressure then? is it best to keep that relatively high to get sufficient flow through the spool to ballance the valve equaly for every shot? because i noticed the port through the spool is quite small!
but it means i can lower my cocking mass, lower my lp and I'll get less kick which is still pretty cool :D

Just try it and see how you get on, from my experience don't expect too much reduction in LPR pressure and if the reciprocating mass is too low it gets very inconsistant and low velocity. Think 50g to 55g was about the min i managed whilst still getting 280fps.

I hope to be proved wrong on that as i think it's a great idea, unfortunatly didn't achieve what i was looking for.

Give me a shout if you want the chrono to do some testing, need to get those other bits to you anyway.

It is not designed to let you lower your lpr stupidly. it is designed to allow a lighter mass to open the valve think ping pong ball and golf ball ping pong when thrown at the same force wont do as much damage as a golf ball.

we should have someone at most events to help setup

3 to 4 posts o pbnation does not a problem make! out of the 500 we sold in the first week of the aa valve being released.

had one in my ego since may never skipped a beat.

good thing is we now have a european base with full stock and spares so any issues can be sorted asap
